Its hard to see a disease which caused as much controversy as Lyme did. Mostly it is because Lyme can cause nearly every known symptom, but main reason is - as usual - money. Alot of people found out that selling the cure against "lyme" might be great businnes. In middle ages one might buy medicine against everything - vampire strikes, bad karma, magic, sins. Everything people want to pay for was for sale. Nowadays people pay for cure against Lyme, but at least 70 percent of them actually do not have the spirochetes.
